QuickTip: Nested Bookmarks in the Activities plug-in in the Notes client
Category: Quick-Tipp, Notes benutzen, LotusLive, Lotus Connections
To structure activities in the Activities plug-in in the Standard Notes client, you can use sections. In the sections you can add entries and to do items. An entry may contain one or more bookmarks and/or files.Only if an entry contains exactly one bookmark, you can open the referenced Web site directly with a double click; adding more than one bookmark to an entry leads makes them inconvenient to use.
All this results in very, very long lists of bookmarks and heavy use of the search function. But there is a way for having a little more structure for your bookmarks in your activities:
You can nest bookmarks in bookmarks and in other entries!
Unfortunately, you cannot drag and drop existing bookmarks into another, but at least you can add new ones by dragging the Web site's address from the browser's address bar onto an entry or bookmark.

BlackBerry-Client für Lotus Connections 2.3 und Quickr 1.0
Category: Lotus Connections, Lotus Quickr, BlackBerry
IBM hat heute die Verfügbarkeit neuer Versionen der BlackBerry-Clients für Ihre Collaboration-Produkte angekündigt:
- BlackBerry Client for IBM Lotus Connections 2.3
- BlackBerry Client for IBM Lotus Quickr 1.0
"Specific enhancements built into the BlackBerry clients for IBM Lotus software for Connections and Quickr
With BlackBerry Client for IBM Lotus Connections 2.3, there is now support for Blogs, Activities, Bookmarks, and Communities, and an enhanced Profile information capability including pictures. The richer integration with BlackBerry core applications makes the application appear as an integral part of the BlackBerry device, and is easier to use.
This is the first BlackBerry client for IBM Lotus Quickr in the market and with it the enterprise users can perform most of the key activities from their BlackBerry devices that they would wish to do when working with documents.
- Navigate and view library contents
- Designate libraries as "Favorites" for fast access
- Sort and filter folder contents to highlight material the user wants to find easily
- View file and folder details - when and by whom it was created and modified
- Preview documents via the BlackBerry Attachment Service
- Download and check out documents for editing
- Check in documents, in addition to or to replace older versions
- Organize documents in new folders created from the BlackBerry smartphone
- E-mail document authors with questions
- Send a link to a document or folder rather than sending the entire document"
