For Lotus Notes users, LotusLive is a very convenient tool for (project-) communication with partners and customers outside their company. On the other hand, it is just another entry point for your day-to-day business.IBM offers a plugin for the eclipse-based Notes client to create a single entry point for both LotusLive and your "local" data. Of course, integration will advance, as IBM is developing an API. This should enable developers to integrate LotusLive with other applications.
At this point, I only want to talk about the activity plugin.
Using the activities plugin you can manage,
edit, create your LotusLive activites. You can even make them available
offline.
Configuring it is easy, when you installed Notes with acitivities. If you didn't, it is about time... ;)
The default looks like this:
Click "Show connection options".
Enter https://apps.lotuslive.com for Server-URL and username and password of your LotusLive account. After clicking OK you will again be prompted to enter your credentials. Don't - just click Cancel (both times). This prompt will be used for the wrong authentication protocol.
If you did, you could repair it by clicking on "Advanced" and choosing "Tivoli Access Manager Form".
Either way, choose Accounts from within your Preferences and edit the one with the URL from above.
The name and description are not important, but you have to change the Authentication Type to HTTP Basic. Delete the Authentication URL.
That's it. Now you can create new activities and add tasks and notes.
By clicking "Open in Web Browser" your LotusLive activity page will open in the Web Browser.
You can make your activities available offline by clicking on "Online" and following the instructions. You will find the replication on your replication page.
